I was born, grown and graduated in Bologna (Italy), the city famous for Lambrusco and Lasagne. Straight after my Master’s Degree in Engineering (2003), I had the great opportunity to start working for an important Italian supplier of the automotive industry.
In 2006 I imagined my career in a prestigious automotive company, and my curiosity about living in other countries definitively broadened my options.
My passion for international experiences started as student, working part-time for Erasmus Student Network Bologna: it was fantastic meeting so many European students ready to leave their place to develop a friendship with people from another country. Thanks to this great experience I still have friends around the world, thanks to them I started to appreciate wine and to learn several languages.
The wine has always been my main hobby, I have met numerous producers and wine experts, tasted thousands of bottles and shared the joy of a glass of wine with all my friends, family and colleagues.
In 2010 I finally received a job offer from MSX International, to work for Ford in Brazil: I decided to accept, to learn Portuguese and to move to Salvador da Bahia, supported by two friends who were living there.
Shortly after, in 2012, I was asked to return to Italy to work for Lamborghini, in an interesting position in the After Sales Department, a good opportunity to go back to Europe and to get a role closer to the client.
But during the last ten years my passion for wine has increased so much that I started to plan my transition to the wine trade of London in particular. I have always appreciated the life style here, I already knew the quality of WSET courses and there was a real possibility to get a part-time job in Surrey as Administrative Responsible.
So I accepted this challenge, I got my WSET level 3, I have been working in Surrey for the last year and now I am ready to work in the Wine Trade.
Cheers!
